  • Ben's Guide - Ben’s guide to the U.S. Government for kids. It is the official on-line version of legislative and regulatory information. This site provides learning tools for K-12 students, parents, and teachers.

  • Blue Web'n - Welcome to Blue Web'n, a library of Blue Ribbon learning sites on the Web.  Lessons, Webquests, Information for Teachers and Librarians.

  • Code Red Rover -  CodeRedRover.org was created by Home Safety Council, a nonprofit organization of Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse. Their basic wish for all families is safety and health. This site was built to reinforce the home safety messages that many of your children already know, as well as teach them new ones.

  • CORD - CORD’s initiatives include curriculum design, developing new learning tools, delivering professional development, creating applications of educational research and evaluation.

  • Don't Laugh at Me - Operation Respect is a non-profit organization working to transform schools, camps and organizations focused on children and youth, into more compassionate, safe and respectful environments.  Excellent site and program.

  • Eduhound - A division of T.H.E. Journal, the site is a highly specialized educational directory with built-in resource links offered free to educators, students, and parents. It seeks to harness the vast resources of the web.

  • eleMENTOR - This upper elementary teacher site has several ideas that you can use in your classroom tomorrow. These are not lesson plans, but tips and ideas for student motivation, classroom management, direct instruction, and parent communication.

  • Family Education Network - Resources for parents, teachers, and students.

  • Get Net Wise -  Information for parents on how to use the internet safely. A public service site. 

  • Get Wise - The Living Wise program emphasizes environmental education, introducing students to the concept of a resource, and then extending that knowledge to natural resources and the idea of renewable, non-renewable resources in our daily lives.

  • Good Character - If you work with kids and you need to implement character education tomorrow, and you want some immediate help, this is where to start. But if your character education program is cruising and you just want some additional ideas and materials, this is also where to start.

  • Institute for Women in Trades, Technology & Science - provides training, e-strategies, publications and technical assistance to the education system and employers to integrate women into technology and non-traditional occupations.

Bush signed into law the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB).  It can provide assistance in the following areas: Become a Teacher, Find Teaching Opportunities, Improve Student Performance, Student Assessment, Address Student Needs, Professional Development.

  • Promising and Effective Practices Network - an information base for identifying and promoting what works in youth employment and development.

  • Teacher Vision - Part of the Family Education Network. Many resources for teachers.

  • Thinkquest - A non-profit organization which offers programs designed to advance education through the use of technology. It is a global network of students, parents, teachers, and technologists, dedicated to exploring youth-centered learning on the net.
