Optional Education Program
The Optional Education Program is a collective effort of KEC member schools. The program is designed to provide an educational opportunity for students who have not been successful in the regular school program due to attendance, discipline, or a circumstance beyond their control. The program is an afternoon/evening program with academic, vocational and counseling components. Eligible students are recommended for placement by a counselor and administrator. Students who are 16-21 with a Junior status will be considered for enrollment. Each participating school has additional guidelines for attendance to the program.
Class Schedule
Classes meet Monday through Thursday weekly from 3:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Classes are 90 minutes long and each class meets two (2) days per week. Most work can be completed during the designated class time.
