Teachers who participate in the Summer Educator Internship Program gain valuable knowledge about the world of work and are able to bring that knowledge into their classrooms.

This program pairs teachers with temporary assignments in business and industry. By participating, you will be making more than just a contribution to the program…you will be investing in the future of our schools and students by providing a Real World Classroom Experience.

Businesses profit from teachers’ fresh perspective and productivity. Teachers gain knowledge, skills, and a new perspective of the business world. Ultimately, students benefit from their teachers’ actual experience on the front line of business.

			EIP 2007 & 2008

The 2007 Summer EIP experiences are complete!  Thanks to a lot of hard work and the help of our area business partners the event was a great success!  Participants were placed at the following sites:

• Finney Electric
• Green and Associates
• Veto Enterprises
• Midwest Museum
• Sycamore Fire Department

Area Schools represented were:

• KEC
• Sycamore Junior High School
