Computer Assisted Drafting 1 & 2

Computer Assisted Drafting 2 Prerequisite:"C" grade average and/or consent of instructor.

This Consortium course is designed to provide students interested in a career in drafting with information and practical experience for advanced course work in Computer Assisted Drafting. Most course work is done using computers with CAD software that is used in industry. The course includes planning and organizing activities, researching information, coordinating work and performing other general drafting related procedures. Students prepare sketches and projections, use various reproduction techniques and CAD command processes to produce CAD grid drawings. Emphasis is placed on mechanical and architectural drawings. An opportunity is provided for students to specialize in an area of interest in the second year of this program. Successful completion of this course is the basis for the Kishwaukee College Computer Aided Drafting Architecture and Mechanical Certificates and Associate Degree (A.A.S.) Program.
