Each year over 1,000 eighth grade students from all of the area schools attend the Eighth Grade Career Conference held at Kishwaukee College.

Students choose to attend four career sessions from over 30 career fields presented by area professionals. Students learn about training requirements, salary ranges, working conditions, personal attributes for success and required soft skills.

Each year students report the sessions are overwhelmingly "good" and "excellent." Speakers report they also have a very enjoyable, positive experience.

Talk About It!

Planning for your future is very important.  Talk to your family, teachers and counselors about what your interests are.  They can help guide you down the right career path.

It's never too early to start looking toward the future!
